    Hello i am new to this forum, i am looking for some answers involving stock trading? My question is: Can i invest in stocks, mutual fund, etc. while having only a EAD(work Permit)? Do i need get permission from IRS? What do i need to do invest legally? I was thinking of investing with Scottrader.

    First you should fill up all the forms. (156/157) for you and your spouse, then it will let you go ahead and ask to select a date and then it will ask you to put some email address, where a link will be sent to download forms and sign them. You can click on back button and fill in more than one email id to make sure that you receive the link in one of 'em. 157 is required for certain age upto 55 years.

    My PD is Nov 2005 , I had I-485 interview in Feb 2009, because dates werent current I was given a letter saying "Your case has been continued because of VISA unavailability"

    My question is if I claim unemployment insurance would I have issues in GC adjucation? ( Since my case is already pre-adjucated)?

    Undocumented amount 33% taken out from monthly compensation then pay roll tax withhold amount went to federal, state tax, social tax and Medicare.

    My point is how can employer deduct tax with is not shown on pay slip.

    What would be take home for 100k base? He should deposit $8333/pm not $5835/pm then pay roll processing department will deduct appropriate amount not he deducts 33% then sends to pay roll.

    I am sorry for "atrocious" english. I guess I am just very nervous. Lemme reprahse:
    I never worked on that H1-B application. I just filled the H1-B and left USA (I was working on OPT before that with another company). My biggest mistake in life was filing the H1-B with a shady consultant out of desperation. Good that I never worked with him before leaving states. obviously I got a 221G, but now a big company has recruited me from India. I am again nervous if they can transfer my H1-B(which I never used).
    Now do I make some sense?

    pls quote the exact sentences of your rejection letter here. we need to know a reason for your rejection.
    ask your lawyer or find out exactly what they screwed up.

    - is your lawyer a company lawyer or your lawyer
    - what is the status of your company--- big/small/ many h1b/ what about others in your company on LC applications..etc
    - did the comapny do ads? do you have the material or copy of everything that was sent?
    - is your company making profits. how many employees?
    - eb2 or eb3
    - has anyone been rejected before in your company?

    Ok,

    Today the paralegal staff at my lawyer's office told me that they got my wife's application rejected back on July 20th!! They were handling lot of filings and could not update me about this. I am happy that they pro actively re-filed the application. My wife's application was rejected because of improper fees! They filed again and reached USCIS Nebraska on 25th July. Now I am waiting for her application to be receipted.

    I agree.

    Visa Recapture or remove country limit for skilled labor (EB category). these would probably be the only ones that will fly.

    Maybe they should also keep it low key so less people oppose it;)
